Rustic Wheel thrown matt white glazed stoneware storage jar.
Made from recycled clay, crushed ceramic and glaze waste, with a matt gaze applied to the outside and glossy white easy to clean interior glaze. Suited for a variety of uses, but I use these for tea bags.

Ceramic surface underneath pieces may stain with strong coloured oils/food.

These pots are wheel thrown. A ball of clay is manipulated by hand while it spins on the potter’s wheel. When lifting the walls the clay fluidly transforms into cylinders, and lids. The pots firm up overnight and are then turned with a metal tool and manipulated into a rectangular shape to fit a standard 250g block of butter.
The pots are then fired, glazed and fired again to mature at 1260°C.
